Prosthodontics deals with the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.
Teaching Programmes include BDS, Certificate course in Aesthetic Dentistry, Certificate course in implants Dentistry Assosciated with Noble Bio care{SWEDEN}.
The curriculum is designed such that students go through simulation and bench courses to learn the fundamental skills, and then evolve to more complex cases.
The department has dedicated & motivated Teaching staff. The upgradation of the skills of staff & students is enhanced by organizing various CDE Programmes, symposia, hands-on workshops. The department has an impressive pass percentage

The specialty of oral and maxillofacial pathology is a confluence of basic sciences and clinical dentistry.
With these subjects, students gain knowledge about the normal oral cavity in the state of diseases, thus forming a foundation for the understanding and diagnosis of head and neck diseases. To achieve this purpose, the department has a multitude of comprehensive teaching aids, such as power point presentations models, charts, microscopic slides, monocular and binocular microscopes, tooth specimens and anomolies, internet facilities and in addition to this conducts quiz, seminars and discussions.
The department has well maintained library consisting of text books, atlas and informative CD’s.
The highlight of the department is its highly efficient, dedicated staff- 1 Professor &HOD, 1 Reader and 1 Senior lecturer, who are involved in teaching, guiding and mentoring the students and carrying out the smooth functioning of the department.
The primary goal of this department encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental caries and the other defects of natural teeth; the department specializes in restoration of diseased teeth in an aesthetically pleasing manner with the help of latest restorative materials and techniques like bleaching, veneering and zirconia restorations.
The department constantly updates itself with equipments and materials to render effective treatments to the patients.
The department has a full fledged, pre –clinical laboratory equipped with the latest technology and phantom heads where the pre-clinical students are trained effectively before they carry out treatment procedures in patients.
The department has its own library to help the students update their knowledge and prepare for clinical postings viva.
The faculty member shows a great care in sharing their knowledge and experience with their students. They strive constantly for a steady academic progress by conducting seminars, CDE programs etc.
Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry is a subject that deals with the care and treatment of children’s teeth. It is thus an age defined specialty. It involves counselling parents regarding diet,Probotics, prevention and management of dental caries, pediatric endodontics, management of traumatic injuries of teeth, preventive and interceptive orthodontics, cosmetic dental treatment using latest technology, managing gingival and periodontal diseases in infants, children and adolescents including those with special health care needs.
The Department has undergraduate section along with a preclinical lab. The ambience of the clinical operatory is friendly, warm and cheerful to cater to the needs of small children. The students are well groomed in the subject with both preclinical education and clinical work. The department is very well equipped with all instruments and machineries to provide complete perfect care to all child patients under one roof. All surgical procedures are done under strict sterilization. Regular school dental camps are also organized to stress on the preventive aspect of dental diseases.
The department is of the firm belief that “Every child has a fundamental right to total oral health” and strives towards achieving this end.
The Department Of Public Health Dentistry is involved in training of undergraduate students about dental public health with quality education on various aspects of theoretical knowledge, preventive procedures, comprehensive measures, field settings and public health programmes.
The specialty aims in improving the dental needs of population rather than individuals.
